Construction Project Manager- Water/Wastewater

Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing project execution from planning through completion, serving as the primary liaison between project owners, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in construction oversight, safety compliance, scheduling, cost control, and team coordination within heavy civil and water/wastewater construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, review estimates, and assist with change order management.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and correspondence.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, safety, and workmanship.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to management and project stakeholders.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Support project planning, procurement, and risk management activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management, construction oversight, or related experience.
• Extensive experience in heavy civil, utility, water/wastewater, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and construction industry regulations.
• Knowledge of excavation, trench safety, shoring systems, structural concrete, and cast-in-place concrete construction.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, contracts, and project teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar project management software is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
• PMP or similar professional certification is a plus.
