Overview
We are partnering with a nationally recognized real estate development and advisory firm to identify an experienced Owner's Representative to support the delivery of mission-critical data center projects across key U.S. markets. This is a high-impact role suited to professionals with a strong background in construction project management, particularly within the data center, hyperscale, or high-tech infrastructure sectors.
The successful candidate will serve as the client's on-the-ground representative, ensuring that all aspects of the project-from design through to commissioning-are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Oversight
- Represent the client's interests throughout the full lifecycle of data center construction projects
- Lead coordination between design teams, general contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets
Contract & Financial Management
- Administer contracts for general contractors and design consultants
- Review and negotiate change orders, with a focus on MEP systems and technical scope
- Monitor and report on budget performance, cost forecasting, and value engineering opportunities
Schedule & Quality Control
- Track and manage project schedules, identifying risks and mitigation strategies
- Conduct regular site visits and lead progress meetings
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality benchmarks, and client specifications
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide weekly reporting and executive-level updates
- Facilitate transparent communication between all project participants
- Support client decision-making with data-driven insights and recommendations
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in construction project management, ideally in mission-critical environments
- Proven track record acting as an Owner's Representative or in a similar client-facing role
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and data center infrastructure
- Experience managing large-scale ground-up construction projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- PMP, CCM, or similar certification is a plus
- Familiarity with industry-standard project management tools and reporting systems
