Fire Alarm Project Leader

We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Project Leader with a strong background in fire alarm system design and implementation. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for life safety systems and a desire to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead fire alarm system projects, ensuring compliance with IBC, NEC, and NFPA codes.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with clients, senior leadership, subcontractors, and design professionals.
- Identify and resolve technical, operational, and construction challenges.
- Oversee cost estimating, contract administration, and project controls.
- Ensure safety, quality, and risk management standards are met.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in applications engineering, with at least 5 years in a project leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and applicable codes (IBC, NEC, NFPA).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects ranging from \$500K to \$3M.
- Experience with estimating, scheduling, and job cost reporting tools.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, developing cost proposals, and execution planning.
- Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and general contractor coordination.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in Electronic Security, Industrial Controls, or Building Automation.
- Demonstrated success in completing projects on time and under budget.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical & Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for keyboard use.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
