We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Project Leader with a strong background in fire alarm system design and implementation. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for life safety systems and a desire to lead complex projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead fire alarm system projects, ensuring compliance with IBC, NEC, and NFPA codes.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with clients, senior leadership, subcontractors, and design professionals.
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, and construction challenges.
  • Oversee cost estimating, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and risk management standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in applications engineering, with at least 5 years in a project leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and applicable codes (IBC, NEC, NFPA).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects ranging from \$500K to \$3M.
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, and job cost reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, developing cost proposals, and execution planning.
  • Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and general contractor coordination.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in Electronic Security, Industrial Controls, or Building Automation.
  • Demonstrated success in completing projects on time and under budget.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for keyboard use.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
