The Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading geotechnical projects from proposal through to delivery. You'll manage client relationships, oversee project teams, and ensure technical quality and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for a variety of projects
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong, long-term relationships
- Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers
- Review geotechnical reports, calculations, and recommendations for accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, and environmental groups
- Support business development efforts including proposals, presentations, and client engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, with strong project management exposure
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-phase geotechnical projects
- Strong client-facing skills and business development capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
