A leading land surveying and geospatial consulting firm is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join its growing Massachusetts team. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex survey projects, manage field and office staff, and play a key role in the continued growth of a well-established surveying practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, and construction surveying projects
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Review and certify survey plans and legal documents
- Perform boundary analysis, deed research, and survey computations
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and municipal agencies
- Supervise field crews and office staff while maintaining quality standards
- Mentor junior survey professionals and support team development
Qualifications
- Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
- 7+ years of land surveying experience
- Strong knowledge of boundary determination, subdivision design, and survey regulations
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey software
- Experience managing projects and client relationships
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
