Mid-Level Transmission Engineer - Texas
A well-established engineering consulting firm and part of a growing national platform is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join its expanding utility engineering team. With a legacy of delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions, this team supports major utilities across the U.S. through cutting-edge design, modeling, and project execution. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a talented group of engineers in a collaborative environment while engaging directly with clients on impactful transmission line projects. While the team prefers someone based in the Dallas area, they are open to candidates located anywhere within Texas.
Responsibilities:
Design transmission lines using PLS-CADD
Develop construction and fabrication packages
Perform structural and foundation analysis for transmission structures
Serve as Engineer of Record on select projects
Mentor junior engineers and support project coordination
Ensure QA/QC and adherence to applicable codes (NESC, ASCE, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of experience in transmission line design
Proficiency with PLS-CADD
Experience designing transmission structure foundations and steel poles
Strong understanding of conductor sag/tension and utility system performance
