Municipal Project Lead
We are seeking an experienced Civil Municipal Infrastructure Lead to take ownership of complex municipal projects and provide technical and people leadership within a growing civil engineering group. This role is suited to a senior engineer who enjoys combining hands-on technical oversight with mentoring and leading a medium-sized delivery team.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for public-sector and municipal clients, with a particular focus on water resources and water/wastewater systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction
- Provide technical oversight, quality control, and engineering direction across Municipal Water Resource/Coastal Projects
- Manage and mentor a medium-sized team of engineers and designers, supporting professional growth and performance
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
- Review designs, reports, specifications, and construction documents to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and delivery in collaboration with project managers
- Contribute to business growth through proposal development, scope definition, and client relationship management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (active and in good standing)
- Strong background in water resources and Municipal infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects
- Prior experience providing technical leadership or managing engineering teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with municipal or public-sector clients
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks
- Ability to balance technical expertise and team leadership responsibilities
