Structural Engineer
Our Client is a well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consultancy with more than four decades in Dallas. They are seeking a PE licensed candidate to join their growing structural engineering firm and play a key role in the design and delivery of diverse building projects across the region.
You'll work closely with architects, developers, contractors, and fellow engineering professionals to deliver practical and efficent structural solutions from concept through construction.
This role has a focus in residential work, but you will also have a broad range of project types, including:
- Commercial development
- Mixed-use developments
- Master-planned residential communities
- Industrial facilities
What you'll be doing:
- Lead structural analysis and design for building projects of varying size and complexity.
- Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
- Coordinate directly with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Review and mentor junior engineers and EITs.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
- Support business development and client relationships where appropriate.
- Perform site visits and respond to construction-phase engineering requests.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience designing building structures in the commercial, residential, multifamily, or mixed-use sectors.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
- Strong understanding of concrete, wood, and masonry design.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Desire to take ownership of projects and continue progressing into senior technical or leadership roles.
