Water/Wastewater Project Manager

Join a growing engineering consulting firm with a strong backlog of municipal water and wastewater projects and an established client base across the region. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful infrastructure projects while working alongside a highly experienced team serving public utilities and municipal clients.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of water and wastewater projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, conveyance infrastructure, rehabilitation programmes, and related utility improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with internal technical staff, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for municipal and utility clients
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, networking, proposals, and pursuit activities
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Support construction phase services including submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders, and coordination with field staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred or ability to obtain
  • 8+ years of experience within the municipal water and wastewater consulting industry
  • Experience managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, collection systems, or distribution networks
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, engineering design, and construction administration
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
