Location: Florida (Multiple Office Locations Available)
A leading heavy civil general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Asphalt Paving to join its growing team in Florida. With established regional offices throughout the state, this position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of asphalt paving and roadway projects while remaining based out of a local office and market area.
The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction, from preconstruction and budgeting through project completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage asphalt paving, roadway, resurfacing, and site development projects within an assigned regional territory.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Coordinate project activities with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners.
- Review contracts, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor project performance, productivity, and profitability.
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, projections, and project updates for leadership.
- Support preconstruction, estimating, and business development efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within asphalt paving, roadway, transportation, or heavy civil construction.
- Strong understanding of paving operations, sitework, grading, and roadway construction.
- Experience managing public and private sector projects.
- Knowledge of FDOT specifications and standards preferred.
- Proven success managing project budgets, schedules, and field teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
