Project Executive - Mission Critical
An industry-leading electrical contractor is seeking a Project Executive to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale mission critical and data center projects. This role will provide executive-level leadership across multiple projects, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across mission critical projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
- Oversee project financials, budgets, forecasting, profitability, risk management, and contract execution.
- Lead project teams to ensure exceptional performance in safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.
- Manage major procurement packages, subcontractor relationships, and commercial negotiations.
- Drive project strategy, execution planning, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Partner with VDC/BIM, preconstruction, field operations, and executive leadership teams to achieve project goals.
- Review and approve change orders, budget revisions, and key project decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, Lean construction practices, and innovative delivery methods.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field leadership teams.
- Build high-performing teams focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Support succession planning and talent development throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture centered around safety, quality, innovation, and client service.
Requirements
- 10+ years of electrical construction experience with significant project leadership responsibility.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale mission critical, data center, hyperscale, or complex commercial projects.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, forecasting, and project controls.
- Excellent understanding of contracts, procurement, scheduling, risk management, and construction operations.
- Experience leading multiple project teams simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Data Center, Mission Critical, Advanced Manufacturing, or Industrial project experience.
- Expertise in BIM/VDC coordination, commissioning, and prefabrication strategies.
- Experience implementing Lean Construction methodologies.
- Background managing projects exceeding $50M+ in electrical scope.
