About the Role
I'm working with a well-established multidisciplinary consulting firm that's looking to bring on an experienced Senior or Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join their team in the Greater Orlando area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading design efforts, and mentoring others while working on impactful energy infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the design and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines (69kV and above).
- Manage projects from early design through construction, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Work closely with civil, structural, and electrical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support project management with scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (Master's is a plus).
- PE license required (Florida or ability to obtain).
- At least 8 years of experience in transmission line design.
- Strong skills in PLS-CADD and related tools.
- Solid understanding of NESC, IEEE, and utility standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
