A growing design-build engineering and construction firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC and plumbing design for commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and data center projects. This position offers the opportunity to lead design efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and work directly with clients.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for...
- Designing HVAC and plumbing systems for design-build projects
- Performing load calculations and equipment selections
- Creating construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Coordinating with architectural, structural, and electrical teams
- Conducting site visits and supporting project execution
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and calculations for code compliance
- Participating in client and construction meetings
- Troubleshooting design and technical issues
- Supporting estimating, value engineering, and preconstruction activities
- Building and maintaining client relationships
The Mechanical Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical design, or construction experience
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, building codes, and construction practices
- Experience on commercial and/or industrial projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE License preferred
- Design-build experience
- Healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, commercial, education, or data center project experience
- Knowledge of Navisworks, SysQue, and Trane Trace
- Piping or sheet metal fabrication experience
- Cost estimating and value engineering experience
