Location: Gresham, OR (Portland Metro)
Salary: $140,000-$175,000 DOE

A nationally recognized water and wastewater (W/WW) general contractor with a nationwide footprint is seeking a Scheduler to support the planning and execution of complex infrastructure work. This role partners closely with project teams to develop, maintain, and analyze CPM schedules that drive performance from preconstruction through commissioning on treatment plants, pump stations, conveyance/pipeline work, and related civil infrastructure.

Position Overview

The Scheduler will develop and maintain integrated project schedules, provide schedule analytics (critical path, float, impacts), and deliver clear reporting to internal stakeholders and owners. This position requires strong scheduling fundamentals, practical construction sequencing knowledge, and the ability to coordinate inputs across design, procurement, permitting, construction, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated CPM schedules for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Establish baseline schedules; manage regular updates, logic revisions, progress tracking, and recovery schedules when required.
  • Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float evaluation, and impact assessments; identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate schedule inputs across project functions (design, procurement, permitting, construction, commissioning) and facilitate alignment with project milestones.
  • Produce schedule deliverables such as look-aheads, narratives, dashboards, and stakeholder reporting suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support change management efforts including time impact considerations and schedule reviews.

Experience Needed

  • 3+ years of construction scheduling experience on civil infrastructure projects (GC/CM or major specialty).
  • Direct experience with water/wastewater work such as treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related heavy civil scopes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build schedules reflecting real field constraints (crew flow, access, shutdowns/tie-ins, procurement lead times).
  • Experience collaborating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to drive schedule adherence and resolve impacts.

Qualifications Required

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 (required); MS Project experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles and schedule update best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills (schedule narratives, variance explanations, executive-level reporting).

Benefits Included

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage options
  • Professional development and training support
