About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Environmental Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in environmental fieldwork and project execution, particularly in sampling, site remediation, and O&M (Operations & Maintenance). You will play a key role in supporting environmental projects from planning through implementation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil, groundwater, and air sampling in accordance with regulatory and project-specific protocols.
- Support and manage site remediation activities including system design, installation, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee operations and maintenance of remediation systems (e.g., SVE, groundwater treatment).
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and permit applications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and project tracking.
- Ensure health and safety compliance during field activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
- Hands-on experience with environmental sampling and remediation technologies.
- Familiarity with O&M of remediation systems.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for fieldwork.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or environmental modeling software.
- Knowledge of California environmental regulations (e.g., DTSC, RWQCB).
- HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.
