An established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of flood control, agricultural drainage, environmental restoration, and water infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly support communities, agricultural operations, and regional water systems across the Sacramento Valley, Central Valley, and Delta regions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage water resources, flood control, drainage, and agricultural engineering projects.
- Perform engineering analyses, design calculations, and technical studies.
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Support grant and funding applications for public agency and infrastructure projects.
- Develop technical reports, memorandums, and project presentations.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the engineering group.
What We're Looking For
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within six months.
- 8+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably within water resources, flood control, drainage, agricultural infrastructure, or related fields.
- Project management experience with public agency and infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing construction documents, specifications, and engineer's estimates.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and client relationships.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting complex engineering data.
- Proficiency with engineering design and modeling software commonly used in civil engineering applications.
