Role Overview
The Senior Project Engineer is a key technical leadership role responsible for delivering structural projects through all phases from design through construction administration.
This position combines hands-on engineering, project oversight, and client-facing responsibilities, acting as a central figure in coordinating teams and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead structural analysis and design for building systems
- Produce and review calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Provide technical direction on lateral systems including braced frames, moment frames, and shear walls
- Oversee coordination with architectural and MEP disciplines
- Ensure quality control across deliverables
Project & Team Management
- Direct project teams through all phases of design and construction
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and timelines
- Support and collaborate with senior leadership on technical decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
Client Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication
- Maintain and grow client relationships
- Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders and contractors
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
- Master's degree preferred
- PE licence required
- SE licence preferred
Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of structural design and analysis experience
- Experience producing detailed plans and construction drawings
- 2+ years of team or project management experience preferred
Core Skills
- Strong experience with seismic design and lateral systems
- Proficiency in ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc, Revit, and MS Office
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities

Compensation
- Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000
- Dependent on experience, technical expertise, and location
