Systems Engineer - Hong Kong
We're working with a leading engineering consultancy delivering some of Hong Kong's most significant transport infrastructure and smart mobility projects. Due to continued project wins, they're looking to appoint a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and delivery of complex traffic signalling and ITS solutions across the region.
This is an opportunity to work on major road, tunnel, urban mobility, and smart city projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop next-generation transport systems.
The Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of traffic signalling and intelligent transport systems, ensuring operational, safety, and performance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing system requirements, specifications, and interface documentation for traffic signalling and ITS projects
- Supporting systems engineering activities across concept, design, testing, integration, and commissioning phases
- Coordinating with signalling, communications, electrical, software, and civil engineering teams
- Managing requirements traceability and verification activities
- Supporting testing, validation, and system acceptance processes
- Engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project delivery
- Contributing to the delivery of smart mobility and digital transport solutions
About You
- Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering traffic signalling, ITS, transport technology, rail systems, or other complex infrastructure systems projects
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles including requirements management, integration, verification, and validation
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies is highly regarded
