Transportation Engineer (Entry to Mid-Level)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Join a growing transportation team delivering roadway, highway, and infrastructure projects throughout Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an Entry to Mid-Level Transportation Engineer looking to build technical expertise, work alongside experienced project managers, and contribute to meaningful transportation improvements across the region.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Support projects for state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies.
- Utilize MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other engineering software.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform engineering calculations, geometric design, drainage analysis, and plan production.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with client communications.
- Support projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 1-6 years of transportation engineering experience.
- EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain.
- Experience with roadway design and transportation projects.
- Familiarity with ODOT standards and procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
