A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Utility Superintendent to oversee underground utility construction projects. This role is ideal for a strong field leader with experience managing water, sewer, storm drain, and site utility installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations for underground utility projects
- Manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
- Coordinate installation of water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications
- Read and interpret plans, profiles, and utility drawings
- Work closely with Project Managers, inspectors, and clients
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in utility construction
- Strong background in water, sewer, and storm drain installation
- Experience with site development and heavy civil projects
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA certification preferred
