Business Development Manager, Data Center

Position: Business Development Manager - Data Center

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement (Internal & External Stakeholders)

  • Develop a deep understanding of industry dynamics, including decision-making processes and key influencers in product specification and purchasing.
  • Identify and map stakeholders across the decision-making chain.
  • Monitor evolving industry requirements and assess their impact on product usage.
  • Recognize relevant industry standards and determine necessary development, qualification, and testing efforts to ensure market credibility.
  • Communicate the general architecture and applications of data centers, particularly those related to the company's products and OEMs.
  • Understand infrastructure segments and verticals, including modularity, scalability, and the impact of AI on increasing data center power density.

2. Strategy & Performance

  • Define and implement a growth strategy focused on data center cooling solutions, including both liquid and air cooling.
  • Develop and execute a business plan aligned with regional strategic goals and budget targets.
  • Establish expertise in the data center segment, including technical processes and challenges.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for new product development.
  • Lead marketing initiatives to raise awareness of the company's fluid power and power transmission portfolio among data center clients, cooling solution OEMs, and integrators.
  • Create go-to-market strategies for relevant products, with emphasis on cooling applications for high-power computing environments.
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop content that supports business development and lead generation.
  • Maintain up-to-date market intelligence, including customer insights, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
  • Conduct market research and analysis, including market sizing, segmentation, regulatory drivers, technologies, channels, and SWOT assessments.
  • Track competitor performance and benchmark against internal metrics to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.

3. Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with technical sales, application engineers, and account managers to build a pipeline of new projects and define winning sales strategies.
  • Lead and develop a team of application engineers to support future growth.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in business development or account sales.
  • Experience in data center infrastructure is essential.
  • Familiarity with high-density data center cooling solutions is preferred.
