A nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is seeking a Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) to join its growing Southern California practice. What You'll Do
- Plan and execute geologic and geotechnical investigations
- Perform engineering geology analyses related to faulting, seismic hazards, slope stability, landslides, and site development
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and supporting documentation
- Support infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, and land development projects
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, geologists, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff (senior-level candidates)
- Support project management, proposal development, and client relationship activities as experience permits
Qualifications
- California Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) license required
- Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred
- Experience in engineering geology, geotechnical consulting, geological hazards, or related disciplines
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with California geology, regulatory requirements, and development practices
- Experience with fault investigations, landslide evaluations, geologic mapping, seismic hazards, grading projects, or geotechnical investigations is highly desirable
