Civil Engineer/Project Manager

A growing multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer and Project Manager to help expand its presence along the Gulf Coast.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial engineer who wants to play a meaningful role in building a developing office, growing client relationships, and helping shape a local civil and environmental practice. You will join a collaborative team with established technical resources behind you, while having the autonomy to influence the office's direction and future growth.

The Opportunity

You will manage civil and environmental projects from initial planning and permitting through design, delivery, and client coordination.

Relevant project experience could include:

  • Civil site development and infrastructure design
  • Site grading, drainage, and stormwater systems
  • Stormwater quality and regulatory compliance
  • Environmental permitting and compliance
  • Wastewater collection, treatment, or infrastructure
  • Industrial, commercial, municipal, or private development projects
  • Coordination with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders
  • Preparation and review of plans, specifications, reports, and permit applications

Beyond project delivery, you will help establish the office locally by strengthening client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to the continued development of the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Professional Engineer licence required
  • Approximately 5 or more years of relevant civil or environmental engineering experience
  • Civil site development experience strongly preferred
  • Background in stormwater, wastewater, environmental permitting, or regulatory compliance would be highly beneficial
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Ability to oversee technical work, schedules, budgets, and client communication
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design and project delivery
  • Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial office environment
  • Interest in business development, relationship building, and long-term office growth
  • Ability to work from the Mobile-area office for the majority of the week

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a growing Gulf Coast operation at an early stage
  • Take a visible role in developing a local engineering practice
  • Work across both civil infrastructure and environmental projects
  • Influence future hiring, client development, and office strategy
  • Access the resources and technical capabilities of an established multidisciplinary consultancy
  • Gain greater autonomy than would typically be available within a large, heavily layered organisation
  • Build toward future leadership as the office and project portfolio expand
  • Receive a compensation package shaped around your experience, technical strengths, and ability to contribute to growth

Benefits

  • Pre-tax medical, dental, and vision premium options
