Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Site Project Manager to join a growing civil engineering team in Atlanta. This role will lead site development projects from concept through construction, manage client relationships, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑time results.
The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical expertise, project management capability, and local permitting knowledge, with experience across commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed‑use developments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage civil/site projects through all phases: due diligence, design, permitting, and construction
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and fee proposals
- Track project performance, manage budgets, and oversee change orders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and external stakeholders
Technical Oversight
- Oversee design and production of:
- Site layout and feasibility studies
- Grading, drainage, and stormwater management systems
- Water, sanitary sewer, and storm utilities
- Erosion & Sedimentation Control (E&S / ES&PC) plans
- Review drawings, calculations, and reports prepared by project staff
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor project engineers, designers, and junior staff
- Delegate work, review deliverables, and support professional development
- Collaborate with office leadership on staffing and workload planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain in Georgia)
- 6+ years of experience in civil/site or land development engineering
- Proven experience managing site development projects in the Atlanta metro area
- Solid understanding of local zoning, drainage criteria, and permitting processes
- Strong communication, organization, and client‑facing skills
