About the Role
The EPC Estimator supports the preconstruction team by preparing accurate estimates for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. Responsibilities include analyzing drawings, performing take-offs, managing vendor/subcontractor quotes, and ensuring timely, high-quality proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed EPC estimates for solar and BESS projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Obtain and analyze vendor/subcontractor pricing
- Perform site visits and time studies as needed
- Assist with RFPs, proposals, and bid reviews
- Use estimating software (Accubid, LiveCount, Bluebeam)
- Mentor junior estimators and ensure accuracy of their work
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred
- 2+ years' experience in utility-scale solar/BESS estimating
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Accubid, LiveCount, Bluebeam
- Strong understanding of NEC and building codes
- Ability to read multi-trade drawings and work independently
