A well‑established heavy civil contractor in the Hampstead, MD area is seeking a Project Manager to lead site development, utilities, earthwork, and roadway projects. This role offers long‑term stability and the opportunity to manage impactful civil construction work across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budget oversight, and cost control.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth execution.
- Review plans, specifications, and change orders; handle RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
- Maintain project quality, safety, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Track progress, production, and financial performance to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (earthwork, utilities, roadwork, or site development).
- Strong understanding of civil plans, specifications, and project sequencing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with field and office teams.
- Experience with project management software (HCSS, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar preferred).
- Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering a plus, but not required.
