With average yearly sales in the ~$30M range and a long-standing client base, the organization continues to grow its project portfolio and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support this expansion.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to high quality and safety standards. This role requires hands-on experience managing both new construction and re-roofing projects in an active commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of commercial roofing projects (new construction & re-roofing)
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and inspectors
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Track project costs, change orders, RFIs, and billing
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, company standards, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance
- Lead project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial roofing or related construction
- Proven experience with new construction and re-roofing projects
- Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, forecasting)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Proficiency with construction/project management software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to regional job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with union and/or non-union crews
- Familiarity with manufacturer warranty requirements and inspections
- OSHA certification (10 or 30)
- Background working for mid-sized commercial roofing contractors ($10M-$50M revenue range)
