The client is one of Europe's leading NGO campaigning for cleaner transport and energy. Now expanding its footprint in Asia-Pacific, they are seeking a Shipping Policy Manager to lead its maritime decarbonization efforts and sustainability policies in Singapore and the region.

This is a unique opportunity to shape sustainable shipping policy at a global level, working with governments, industry, and civil society to accelerate the transition to zero-emission maritime transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shipping policy work in Singapore and APAC, focusing on climate, fuel, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to advocate for sustainable maritime policies.
  • Conduct technical analysis and produce policy briefs, reports, and presentations.
  • Represent the company in public forums, conferences, and media engagements.
  • Collaborate with European counterparts and global partners on international shipping initiatives.

Who are they looking for?

  • 5 to 15 years of experience in the shipping or maritime industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of shipping operations, fuels, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience or interest in sustainability, climate policy, or environmental advocacy.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills-able to translate complex issues into compelling narratives.
  • Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
