Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Technical Lead to provide technical leadership across the design and delivery of mission-critical data centre projects. This role will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering design activities, ensuring quality, compliance, constructability, and project delivery excellence throughout the full project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to deliver complex, high-value developments while driving engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and review of civil engineering packages for data centre projects.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to internal and external project teams.
Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with quality and engineering standards.
Identify, mitigate, and manage technical risks throughout project delivery.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Support construction teams by resolving technical issues and providing design clarification.
Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and specifications.
Ensure designs are practical, efficient, and aligned with project objectives.
Maintain clear technical documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design and project delivery.
Experience leading design reviews, technical assurance, and quality control processes.
Knowledge of relevant design codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
Ability to manage technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions.
Experience working across design, construction, and project delivery phases.
Familiarity with BIM and digital engineering platforms is advantageous.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams.
