Overview
A respected consulting engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of treatment, conveyance, and utility projects while collaborating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The position combines technical engineering work, project coordination, and opportunities to mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Lead design efforts for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project execution.
- Perform quality control reviews of engineering deliverables.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase support activities.
- Review submittals, respond to contractor questions, and assist with construction administration responsibilities.
- Attend project meetings and contribute to technical discussions and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
- 4+ years of consulting engineering experience.
- Experience working on municipal water and/or wastewater projects.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
