Lead Building Automation Technician
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Building Automation Technicians on project sites
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to less experienced team members
- Commission, troubleshoot, and optimise Building Automation Systems
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery
- Support installations across healthcare facilities, hospitals, schools, laboratories, commercial properties, and federal projects
- Perform system diagnostics and resolve complex controls issues
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
- Build strong relationships with clients and act as a technical leader in the field
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Strong leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience
- Advanced proficiency with Tridium Niagara, which is a key requirement for this role
- Experience commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, or supporting BAS/DDC systems
- Knowledge of additional DDC platforms such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Alerton, Delta Controls, Honeywell, Automated Logic, or similar systems would be highly advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer-facing communication abilities
- Ability to lead from the front and support project delivery across multiple sites
