A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to join its growing transportation team. This position offers exceptional flexibility, allowing candidates to work fully remote, hybrid, or from the Raleigh office, while contributing to impactful bridge and structural transportation projects throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.

Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of bridge projects.
- Develop bridge plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Utilize software such as LEAP Bridge, MicroStation, OpenBridge Designer, OpenRoads Designer, and/or STAAD.
- Coordinate with roadway, drainage, geotechnical, and construction teams.
- Assist with bridge inspections, rehabilitation designs, and replacement projects.
- Support project managers with project delivery, scheduling, and client coordination.
- Ensure designs comply with NCDOT, AASHTO, and FHWA standards.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 3+ years of bridge design experience preferred.
- Experience working on transportation infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of NCDOT design standards is strongly preferred.
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
- Experience with MicroStation, OpenBridge, LEAP Bridge, or related bridge design software.
