Deep Foundations & Earth Retention Project Manager

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000

About the Company

Our client is a well-established heavy civil and geotechnical construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure, site development and foundation solutions throughout the Midwest.

Their geotechnical division provides a comprehensive range of specialty construction services, including deep foundations, earth retention systems, slope stabilisation and ground improvement. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of deep foundation and earth retention projects across Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Manage deep foundation and earth retention projects from award through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, equipment and material procurement.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field leadership to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications and geotechnical reports.
• Oversee cost tracking, change orders, RFIs, submittals and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings with owners, engineers and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and company standards.
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts when required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within geotechnical construction, deep foundations, earth retention or heavy civil construction.
• Strong experience managing projects involving drilled shafts, CFA piles, micropiles, driven piles, helical piles, soldier pile and lagging systems, tiebacks, secant walls, tangent walls, soil nails or other earth retention systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Experience administering contracts and managing change order processes.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling software and project management systems.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, engineers and project teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
