Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join their Detroit team.
Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical investigations and subsurface explorations.
- Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations.
- Conduct analyses related to foundations, settlement, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthwork.
- Support projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Conduct site visits and construction observations.
- Assist with project management, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Mentor and support junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
- EIT required; PE preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
- Experience preparing technical reports and engineering calculations.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Transportation, energy, industrial, municipal, or infrastructure projects.
- Construction observation and field investigation experience.
- Experience working directly with contractors and project stakeholders.
