A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support bidding efforts on asphalt paving, roadway, and site development projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of civil construction and cost estimating.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and proposals for asphalt, roadway, and sitework projects
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Support bid strategy, scope analysis, and value engineering
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, project engineering, or project management in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in asphalt paving, sitework, or roadway projects
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
- Experience with takeoff and estimating software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
