A multidisciplinary design and engineering firm is seeking a licensed Architect with at least eight years of experience. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the building design process and committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and can coordinate across multiple disciplines while managing project documentation and construction-phase activities.

This established firm provides integrated services in civil engineering, structural engineering, and architecture, with offices across multiple states in the western U.S. The team specializes in the planning, engineering, and design of industrial and commercial facilities and has supported the development of large-scale projects including distribution centers, warehouses, and manufacturing spaces. The firm operates as a full-service design consultant for owners, developers, and end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop building designs and produce presentation materials
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated project documents
  • Prepare permit and construction drawings
  • Perform space planning, code analysis, and building envelope reviews
  • Create renderings and detailed technical drawings
  • Participate in construction administration activities
  • Support client interactions and contribute to project delivery
  • Manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications (Required)

  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Licensed Architect (U.S.)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration
  • Strong understanding of building codes (e.g., IBC, energy codes, fire/life safety)
  • Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Based in or willing to relocate to a major metropolitan area in the southwestern U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited architecture program
  • Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Background in industrial or large-scale commercial design
  • Collaborative and outgoing personality
