What You'll Do
- Lead the design and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related building systems.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations, including:
- Heating and cooling load calculations
- Equipment sizing and selection
- Hydraulic calculations
- Friction loss calculations
- Develop engineering standards, processes, and quality control procedures.
- Evaluate complex engineering challenges and determine practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Review design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Support project teams by responding to RFIs and resolving technical issues during design and construction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical building systems design.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing construction documents.
- Experience using engineering design software and CADD platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
