Position Overview
Client is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer responsible for supporting proposal and design development, project management, and product development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will provide engineering support across the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee engineering activities from design and development through execution and post-installation support
- Perform wastewater process design work in support of proposals and project execution
- Provide technical leadership in developing plans, specifications, submittals, and project documentation
- Drive product development and optimization initiatives, including pilot-scale testing of new processes
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to develop innovative and effective solutions
This role is a key contributor to both sales and operations teams, leading engineering initiatives across the organization from proposal stage through warranty and customer support. The position also includes oversight of internal projects tied to operational improvements and strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in wastewater treatment process design (lagoon-based systems preferred)
- Familiarity with MBBR, fixed-film systems, and tertiary filtration technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required); AutoCAD experience preferred
- Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin or similar)
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering initiatives from concept through execution
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and work collaboratively across departments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to evaluate and recommend equipment/design solutions
- Experience with wastewater-related mechanical equipment (e.g., blowers, controls) preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
