A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee asphalt paving and site development projects in the Baltimore area. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with strong field coordination skills and a background in both paving and site work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage asphalt paving and site development projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field crews to ensure efficient execution
- Track project costs, change orders, and overall financial performance
- Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Interface with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders
- Identify and resolve project risks to keep work on track
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in asphalt paving and site work required
- Experience with grading, utilities, or roadway projects is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in construction management and project tracking tools
