Senior Environmental Engineer

A well-established environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex site investigation and remediation projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage multidisciplinary projects, oversee remediation design efforts, mentor junior staff, and work directly with clients and regulatory agencies on challenging environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects from planning through execution.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and monitor project performance.
  • Review and interpret environmental data to support remedial decision-making and future site strategies.
  • Lead the preparation of technical reports, remedial recommendations, and project deliverables.
  • Develop remedial cost estimates and evaluate remedial alternatives.
  • Support conceptual and detailed remedial design projects.
  • Interface directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with proposal development, cost estimating, and business development activities.
  • Mentor and support the technical and professional development of junior staff.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or equivalent experience working under licensed professionals.
  • Experience managing environmental remediation and site investigation projects.
  • Strong understanding of remedial technologies, remediation costing, and remedy selection processes.
  • Experience with conceptual and detailed remedial design.
  • Proven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and client management.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies and diverse project stakeholders.
