About the Role
This position will serve as the technical and operational leader for the land development team within the branch office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, mentoring engineering staff, maintaining technical excellence, and supporting business growth efforts.
You will balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical involvement, ensuring project quality while guiding and developing junior and mid-level engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and project professionals within the branch.
- Provide technical oversight and quality control on land development projects.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior engineering staff.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, scope, and client expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
- Review engineering plans, reports, drainage studies, specifications, and related project documents.
- Support business development initiatives and help strengthen existing client relationships.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects from concept through construction.
- Drive operational efficiency and contribute to the continued growth of the office.
Requirements
- PE License required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in civil engineering with significant land development project experience.
- Proven project management and client management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in site development, grading, utilities, drainage, permitting, and related civil infrastructure design.
- Experience overseeing project delivery and maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
