Senior Safety Coordinator - Data Center Construction - MEP Scope
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 + benefits
Location: Southern Virginia

Key Responsibilities - Senior Safety Coordinator

As a Senior Safety Coordinator, you will provide on-site safety leadership for a hyperscale data center construction project, ensuring OSHA compliance and driving a strong safety culture across all trades.

Key responsibilities include:

  * Lead and support construction safety programs in a live data center environment
  * Develop, review, and enforce Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Pre-Task Safety Analyses (PTSA)
  * Conduct daily site walks, safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  * Ensure OSHA compliance across all contractors and subcontractors
  * Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety observations, completing root cause analysis and corrective actions
  * Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing workforce training
  * Partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners to promote proactive safety behaviours

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  * 9-10+ years of experience in construction safety or EHS roles
  * Proven experience on large-scale commercial or data center construction projects
  * OSHA 10 (minimum) - required
  * CHST certification - required or actively pursuing
  * OSHA 500 - strongly preferred
  * CPR / First Aid - preferred
  * Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety standards
  * Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
  * Ability to work independently in a remote project environment
  * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
