Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil bridge and structures projects. This role will oversee crews, equipment, materials, subcontractors, safety, quality, production, and day-to-day site coordination.
This is a strong opportunity for a field leader with bridge experience who enjoys being close to the work, keeping crews moving, and helping deliver complex projects safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily field operations on bridge, structures, and heavy civil projects
- Plan and coordinate crews, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and site logistics
- Manage crew production and ensure daily work is aligned with the project schedule
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to ensure work is built correctly
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, quantities, and jobsite documentation
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all site activities
- Track progress, identify field issues early, and help resolve challenges quickly
- Support quality control and ensure construction is completed to project standards
- Communicate clearly with management and project teams to keep work moving smoothly
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field management experience in bridge, structures, or heavy civil construction
- Strong understanding of bridge construction, structural concrete, foundations, and related civil scopes
- Ability to lead crews, manage production, and coordinate multiple moving parts in the field
- Experience working around heavy equipment, cranes, materials, and active construction operations
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents
- Strong communication skills and a team-first leadership style
- Proven ability to problem solve and adapt to changing field conditions
- Commitment to safety, quality, and reliable project execution
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
