Tax Partner (Private Client Services)

A nationally recognized public accounting and advisory firm is seeking Private Client Services Tax Partners to help lead and grow established high-net-worth tax practice within multiple office locations across the US .

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, family offices, partnerships, and S corporations.
  • Review complex federal and state individual and fiduciary tax returns, tax workpapers, and income tax projections.
  • Serve as the lead relationship partner and primary advisor to clients.
  • Deliver strategic tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide technical guidance on complex matters.
  • Research and document tax issues and develop practical solutions for clients.
  • Oversee engagement execution, ensuring exceptional client service and technical quality.
  • Mentor, develop, and supervise managers, senior managers, and staff.
  • Play an active role in practice growth through business development, networking, and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with other service lines to identify and execute cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

  • CPA, JD, or EA required.
  • MST or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
  • 12+ years of public accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise serving high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.
  • Strong technical background in individual and fiduciary taxation, with working knowledge of partnership and S corporation taxation.
  • Experience advising on trust and estate planning matters.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and expand client relationships.
  • Track record of business development and revenue generation.
  • Experience representing clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with leading tax technologies and workflow platforms.
