Transportation Engineer/PM
A well-established and growing engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer/PM.This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Civil Engineer with a strong background in municipal infrastructure, roadway design, and public works projects, as well as experience managing projects, developing client relationships, and leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering projects from planning and design through construction support.
- Serve as Project Manager and Engineer of Record for a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects.
- Lead project teams, manage staff workloads, and mentor junior engineers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while supporting business development efforts.
- Prepare and review proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee the preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) packages.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of project deliverables.
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, technical studies, and design documents.
- Design and manage projects involving:
- Roadway and street improvements
- Storm drainage systems
- Water distribution and transmission systems
- Utility infrastructure
- Sewer collection systems
- Bikeways and pedestrian improvements
- Municipal and public works infrastructure projects
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for alignments, profiles, grading, cross-sections, and earthwork calculations.
- Coordinate with public agencies, utility providers, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience managing municipal infrastructure, public works, roadway, or land development projects.
- Familiarity with roadway design, drainage systems, utility coordination, and public agency standards.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience preparing plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with cities, counties, water districts, or other public agencies.
- Knowledge of Caltrans and local agency design standards.
- Experience with ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, or other GIS platforms.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Active involvement in professional organizations such as ASCE, APWA, or ACEC.
- Sustainability-focused certifications or project experience.
