Bridge Design Project Manager
Our client, a regional, employee-owned engineering firm, is seeking a Bridge Design Project Manager to lead structural engineering efforts across Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for an experienced bridge engineer with 5+ years of experience who is ready to take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with DOT and municipal clients.
The Bridge Design Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing bridge design projects from concept through construction
- Leading structural analysis and design for new and rehabilitated structures
- Coordinating with clients, agencies, and internal teams
- Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Ensuring compliance with WisDOT standards and AASHTO guidelines
- Overseeing QA/QC processes and project documentation
- Supporting proposal development and client presentations
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of bridge design experience
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and design codes
- Experience with WisDOT projects and standards
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., LARS, LEAP Bridge, STAAD)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
