About the Role
A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join their team in Woodinville, WA. As a key contributor to their preconstruction and operations teams, you will prepare accurate, competitive estimates for a variety of civil construction projects, including site development, utilities, grading, roadway work, and infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including earthwork, utilities, concrete, and site work.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software and digital plan sets.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to validate estimates.
- Prepare bid proposals and participate in bid reviews and strategy meetings.
- Analyze project risks and develop value‑engineering solutions.
- Maintain current knowledge of local labor, material costs, and market conditions.
Experience Needed
- 3-7 years of civil estimating experience with a general contractor, civil contractor, or site development firm.
- Proven experience estimating earthwork, utilities, grading, and/or roadway projects.
- Strong ability to read civil plans and technical documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Agtek, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Experience in preparing full bid packages for both public and private sector work.
- Familiarity with local codes, permitting processes, and regional cost structures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to visit job sites as needed.
