The Role
A project-level civil engineering position with real ownership across planning, design, and permitting. You'll manage client relationships, lead technical work, and contribute to business development while working alongside a multi-disciplinary team on a diverse portfolio of land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects
- Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control from concept through completion
- Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, SWPPP preparation, and water quality compliance
- Manage multiple projects within budget, schedule, and deadline requirements
- Develop and maintain client relationships and support new business development
- Write and review feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports
- Mentor and support junior staff development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Active PE license
- 6+ years of site/civil land development experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through construction documents
- Strong client communication, development, and management skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across a variety of project types including commercial, institutional, and mixed-use
- Familiarity with Washington State stormwater and permitting requirements
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary project teams
Compensation
- $85,000 to $140,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus
