Salary: $165,000-$185,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

A leading engineering and professional services firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Electrical Engineering to lead their electrical engineering group in the Bethesda, MD office. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in electrical design, team leadership, and project delivery across institutional and federal markets.
Role Overview:
The Director of Electrical Engineering will oversee the performance, growth, and strategic direction of the electrical engineering team. This role combines technical oversight, operational leadership, and client engagement, with a focus on delivering excellence in design and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, ensuring high-quality design and project performance.
- Oversee project delivery, including QA/QC, design reviews, and coordination with clients and consultants.
- Develop and implement group goals, policies, and operational strategies.
- Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Manage select projects and contribute to strategic planning and resource allocation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- Proven track record in operational management, project profitability, and team development.
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain or maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Experience:
- Expertise in electrical design for laboratories, healthcare, and federal projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- LEED experience or certification.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is a plus.
