Position: Director of Structural Engineering

Position Overview: The Director of Structural Engineering will lead and manage the structural engineering team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate the team. Candidates with a background in architectural design are also encouraged to apply.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the structural engineering department to ensure alignment with company goals and values.
  • Manage department budgets and resources effectively.
  • Design and implement engineering strategies that drive innovation and optimize resources.
  • Verify project compliance with engineering best practices and safety standards.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop department engineers.
  • Collaborate with company stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions meet business needs.
  • Update and maintain department policies and procedures.
  • Analyze proposed project plans to ensure structural integrity and compliance with regulations.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering or architectural design.
